After having the site cut done, the next day out site was set out. Not being a builder, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect and what it was really for, so I educated myself and fired up YouTube.

I now know the wooden stakes and nails driven into them allow string lines to be connected to layout the site. Given the plumbing is due to be installed today, understanding precise locations and room sizes is critical.

These are placed a meter or so away from where the slab will finish so as the build happens these can remain without interfering with construction.

This shot from the cut out in the alfresco area really gives a perspective that demonstrates we’ll need to have a pretty significant retaining wall on the rear and side of the lot.
